Self-Advocates at State House

Update from Champlain Voices co-facilitator Emily Anderson on making our voices heard:

"Sue Aranoff of the Vermont Developmental Disabilities Council told Advocate David Frye about a fun activity she calls, “Make a Date with Sue.” Learning this event involved going to the Vermont State House and meeting legislators he invited Champlain Voices to join him.

On Friday March 22nd we went, staked out a table in the cafeteria and Sue contacted all our legislators and many of them came and met with the advocates. An additional highlight was time with Lt. Governor, David Zuckerman."

A brilliant approach - well done, Champlain Voices!
