CCS dedicates Community Intentional Garden

Bagpipes kicked-off the official dedication ceremony for the Community Intentional Garden at CCS on June 12th. Built by CCS staff at our fall retreat last year, the garden was funded by a grant through Vermont Community Foundation's "Small and Inspiring" grants program.Emilye Pellow Corbett represented VCF at the event, which also featured a ribbon cutting, guitar and accordion music, poetry, personal presentations, and snacks. Here's a link to a full album of photos on our Facebook page. The event was planned and organized by our Champlain Voices self-advocates group. The garden is maintained by CCS but meant to be openly shared with all our neighbors at the Fort to use as a place of reflection, relaxation, memory, or celebration . . . or just a place to enjoy the breeze on a beautiful day.
