Bridging Gets a Look at Local Government

Bridging got a firsthand look at local government yesterday during a visit to the Jericho Town Offices.

A big thank you to Jessica Alexander, Town Clerk, and Chris Shaheen, Town Planner, for teaching us about their work, zoning in Jericho, the different committees, and ways to get involved in the community. Getting to do a mock vote and learn how a voting machine works was a blast. We also found out the building used to be an old schoolhouse, and before we got on the bus, Jessica rang the old school bell for us which was such a fun way to end the visit.
