CCS offers unpaid internships that offer the opportunity to gain valuable experience at a community-based nonprofit, while making a difference.

We recruit for specific positions, and also work closely with potential interns to craft flexible, individualized experiences that best meet the needs of both the intern and CCS. For college students, we can meet the requirements of both credit and noncredit experiential education.

Community Outreach Intern

CCS has an exciting opportunity for an intern to research and develop new resources and venues for the recruitment of Home & Shared Living Providers within the local community. (Home & shared living providers offer home supports through CCS to individuals with developmental disabilities.)

The ideal candidate will be outgoing and innovative, with good public speaking and computer skills.

Must be self-motivated and able to do independent research.

Marketing Intern

Assist in planning and design of marketing strategies and activities for small nonprofit serving individuals with developmental disabilities. Opportunity for right person to craft comprehensive, integrated marketing plan.

Data Base Management and Development Intern

Normalize the data for currently disparate and often overlapping or dated mailing lists and data base files for donors, clients, employment program partners, staff, and board. Integrate lists and enable filtering for single entry and updating.

Requires learning about CCS' current systems and needs, considering alternatives, developing and implementing plan.

Required skills: Strong database management skills, systems and problem-solving approach.
